Big milestone today on the Skokomish River!
Today marks Active Construction Inc.’s first in-water workday on the Skokomish RM 6.5 Habitat Restoration Project in Mason County.
Working with Mason Conservation District and the project partners, our team is helping restore a segment of the lower Skokomish River. The completed project will include engineered log jams and restored side-channel habitat designed to improve river and floodplain connectivity, create pools and complex habitat, and support the recovery of Puget Sound salmon.
Projects like this require careful planning, environmental coordination, skilled operators, laborers, truck drivers, supervisors, subcontractors, and support staff working together under demanding conditions.
A big thank-you to the entire ACI team for the long days and hard work that got us to this important milestone. We are proud to help deliver a project that will provide lasting benefits to the Skokomish River and the surrounding community.
Great work, team—let’s have a safe and successful in-water season!
